Open to Legal Residents of the 50 United States including the District of Columbia and Aruba, 18 years of age and older.
Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited.

PROMOTION ENTRY PERIOD
The Aruba.com "Aruba State of Mind" Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins at 12:00:00 AM Eastern Time ("ET") on August 20, 2010 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on September 30, 2010 ("Entry Period"). All online entries must be received by 11:59:59 PM ET on September 30, 2010.

HOW TO ENTER
Complete the one time registration and interact with the site to earn sweepstakes entries. Participants must have an Aruba.com Friends Network account. You may create a Friends Network account free of charge at www.aruba.com.

How Entries are Earned
One entry is earned for each element of your profile that you complete.

  • One (1) entry for one time registration and uploading one profile photo.
    • If you are already a registered member and have a profile photo you will automatically earn one entry.
  • One (1) entry for completing your Profile Page.
  • One (1) entry for each of the 7 questions answered in the About Me section (up to a maximum of 7 entries).
  • One (1) entry for each additional photo with a caption you upload (up to a maximum of 10 entries).
  • One (1) entry for each video with a caption you upload (up to a maximum of 10 entries).
  • Two (2) entries for each review you give on all things Aruba (such as but not limited to hotels, restaurants, etc.) (up to a maximum of 20 entries).

Bonus Entries
Participants can earn bonus entries for posting a review. Two entries will be earned for each review posted. A Participant can write as many reviews as they would like but there is a limit of forty (40) Bonus Entries per person.

Regardless of the method of earning entries, only a maximum of eighty-nine (89) entries per person for the entire Promotional Period will be allowed.

By entering the Sweepstakes, participants agree to comply with and be bound by these "Official Rules" and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding in all respects. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Sweepstakes. Mechanically reproduced, illegible or incomplete entries will not be eligible. All entries must be submitted in the name of an individual person and prize can only be awarded to the person whose name is listed on the entry. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for incorrect or inaccurate entry information, human error or technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures of any computer equipment or software, or any combination thereof, or for late or misdirected, entries. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged. Any entry information collected from the promotion shall be used only in a manner consistent with the consent given by entrants at the time of entry, with these Official Rules, and with Sponsor's Online Privacy Policy which can be found athttp://www.aruba.com/Info.aspx. The entry information is shared with Sweepstakes Administrator for the sole purpose of the winner selection and notification, and the fulfillment of the prize.

ELIGIBILITY
This Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States including the District of Columbia, and Aruba, 18 years of age and older at the time of entry. Employees of Aruba Tourism Authority, Deutsch A Lowe & Partners Company, Marden-Kane, Inc. their parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, prize suppliers, and their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings and their respective spouses) and individuals living in the same household as such employees are ineligible to enter or win the Sweepstakes. Void in Puerto Rico and where prohibited by law. This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.

PRIZE
One (1) Grand Prize: a 4 day/3 night trip for two (2) to the Island of Aruba. Trip includes: round-trip coach-class airfare from major gateway airport servicing direct flights to Aruba and deluxe hotel accommodations for 3 nights, (one room double occupancy). Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $3,000.00 USD. Total ARV of all prizes is $3,000.00 USA. The major gateway airports servicing direct flights to Aruba are: Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Chicago, IL; Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Houston, TX; Miami, FL; New York (JFK and LGA), NY; Newark, NJ; Orlando, FL; Philadelphia, PA; and Washington DC (Dulles). Above prize value is based on the US Dollar and Aruba exchange rates will be based on these above stated values. All expenses relating to acceptance and use of prize that are not explicitly listed herein as being awarded, including but not limited to payment of taxes (if applicable) and travel expenses between winner's point of departure and major gateway airport servicing direct flights to Aruba (listed above) as selected by Sponsor are responsibility of the winner. No substitution, barter, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except by Sponsor at its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value. If winner is unable to accept the prize or any portion of the prize package for any reason, the Sponsor shall have no further obligation to the winner and prize will be awarded to an alternate winner. Prize is awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied.

ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS OF GRAND PRIZE TRIP

  • If a Grand Prize Winner is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of residence, he/she must be accompanied at all times during the trip by his/her parent/legal guardian who will be deemed a guest of the Grand Prize Winner.
  • Grand Prize Winner, if a US resident, and his/her guests must possess and are responsible for obtaining and must have valid ID such as a passport or other required documentation for travel to and from the USA to Aruba. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor if the proper travel documents are not obtained by the Grand Prize Winner and his/her guests by the date specified by Sponsor.
  • The Grand Prize Winner and his/her guests are responsible for obtaining any travel insurance (and all other forms of insurance) that they may wish to obtain at their own expense and hereby acknowledges that the Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance.
  • The Grand Prize Winner is bound by the terms and conditions of all airlines, hotels and other third party service providers used in connection with the Grand Prize.
  • The Grand Prize winner and his/her guests must travel together on the same itinerary.
  • One (1) person in the Grand Prize Winners travel party must be at least 25 years of age or older.
  • Sponsor is not responsible if tickets, etc are lost, stolen, or misplaced by the Grand Prize Winner and his/her guests and will not be replaced or if booked transportations are missed for any reason.
  • All other expenses not stated herein as part of the prize is the Grand Prize Winner's sole responsibility.
  • Travel must be completed by October 30, 2011, and all reservations must be booked at least 30 days in advance. Certain restrictions and blackout dates may apply. Unused tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged.
  • Actual value of the trip depends on the Grand Prize Winner's residence or departure city. Specifics of prize package are subject to availability and Sponsor's sole discretion. Complete terms and conditions of trip will be furnished with prize notification. Other restrictions may apply.
  • The Grand Prize does not include any incidentals such as, but not limited to, round trip transportation between the winner's residence and any airport of origin, baggage fees, fuel, alcoholic beverages, tax, food, gratuities and tips, insurance, laundry service, merchandise, parking, room service, service charges, souvenirs and telephone calls. All taxes, fees and any incidentals and other expenses not specified herein, including without limitation, income taxes, associated with the prize and its receipt are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner.
  • The Grand Prize winner will not receive cash or any other form of compensation if actual travel costs are less than the estimate made in these Official Rules.
  • If Grand Prize winner is a resident of Aruba they will not receive cash or any other form of compensation for estimated costs for airfare not required for prize.

WINNER SELECTION
winner will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be conducted on or about October 15, 2010 under the supervision of Marden-Kane, Inc., an independent judging organization, whose decisions are final on matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

WINNER NOTIFICATION
Winner will be notified via e-mail, phone and/or mail within two (2) weeks of prize drawing. Winner will be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and where legal, Publicity Release within 14 days following the date of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time period or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and consent to use of their names and/or photographs for advertising or publicity purposes without further consideration, except where prohibited by law.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
BY PARTICIPATING IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS AGREE TO ABIDE BY THE TERMS OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE SPONSOR, WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO CLAIM AMBIGUITY IN THE RULES, AND RELEASE, INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS ARUBA TOURISM AUTHORITY, DEUTSCH A LOWE & PARTNERS COMPANY, MARDEN-KANE, INC., AND THEIR PARENT COMPANIES, AFFILIATES, SUBSIDIARIES, ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION AGENCIES, PRIZE SUPPLIERS AND THEIR RESPECTIVE AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, SHAREHOLDERS AND EMPLOYEES, (COLLECTIVELY, "RELEASEES") FROM AND AGAINST ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, DAMAGES, CLAIMS, ACTIONS ANY LIABILITY OF ANY KIND RESULTING FROM OR ARISING FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE, MISUSE OR NONUSE OF THE PRIZE THAT MAY BE AWARDED. Except where prohibited, ENTRANTS agrees that: (1) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively in the jurisdiction of the courts of the State of NEW YORK (and/or the federal court within NEW YORK); (2) any and all claims, judgments and awards will be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes, but in no event attorneys' fees; and (3) under no circumstances will ENTRANTS be permitted to obtain awards for, and ENTRANTS hereby waive all rights to claim, indirect, punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If an entrant changes his/her telephone number, email address and/or street address after he/she enters the Sweepstakes, it is his/her sole responsibility to notify the Sponsor by (postal) mailing notice to Marden-Kane's address (listed below) to be received by the end of the Entry Period. Releases are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes related materials; or for transactions (including Entry submissions) that are lost, misdirected, fail to enter into the processing system, or are processed, reported, or transmitted late or incorrectly or are lost for any reason including computer, telephone, human or other error; or traffic congestion on the internet, or for electronic, computer, or telephonic malfunction or error, including inability to access any website associated with this Sweepstakes, or process any transaction thereon. If in the Sponsor's opinion, there is any suspected or actual evidence of electronic or non-electronic tampering with any portion of the Sweepstakes, or if computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or technical difficulties or failures compromise or corrupt or affect the administration, integrity, security, fairness, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at their sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and or void any Entries submitted fraudulently, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes, or to terminate the Sweepstakes and award the prize using all eligible, non-suspect Entries received as of the action requiring such termination. Sponsor reserves the right to modify or terminate the Sweepstakes in its entirety at any time and at its sole discretion. Should the Sweepstakes be terminated or modified prior to the stated expiration date, notice will be posted on www.aruba.com. Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Any attempts by an individual to access any web site associated with this Sweepstakes via a bot script or other brute force attack or any other unauthorized means will result in the IP address becoming ineligible. Use of automated entry devices, or Sweepstakes entry services or programs are prohibited. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. Entry can only be made via 1 e-mail address per person. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

For name of winner, available after the conclusion of the Sweepstakes, log on to www.aruba.com. Winner's name will be posted for 30 days following awarding of the prize.
