You are cordially invited to attend to our cultural celebration paying homage to our cultural month of March.
Understanding our people goes a long way towards knowing the history of Aruba. The island has a unique cultural identity shaped by the enduring legacies of native Indian tribes, the European colonialists and the African heritage of slaves to the modern era and today’s contemporary cultural concepts. This rich history and its lasting influence are set against crystal clear waters, rugged scenery and sunshine. Our artists find their inspiration in a myriad of local and international influences which is reflected in their work.
Our artists unique style are reflected through a mixture of abstract primitive influences to modern landscapes and contemporary colors ,dance and rhythms, coming from a multi media variety of influences of European conquerors, Latin American Indians and Aruban local Caribbean geographical position.
Our ‘Cultural FRIENDS of Aruba’ month will introduce you to our multi-dimensional past through Art, Rhythm & Dance while we pay homage to our Ancestors and Today’s Cultural Heritage.
Objective
Our culture FRIENDS of Aruba month is to provide all visitors with a flavor of what the Aruban culture offers. We want to entice you to visit the participating partners who will have a variety of cultural shows to offer and present our cultural heritage.

Art as a discovery

Perception in and by art not only entails the discovery the artist makes in his work, but also the revelation the work gives about him.
