Our Story: 13 Years ⁄⁄ 10 Trips

Our first trip to Aruba was when we got engaged. It was our first vacation together as a couple and Angelo proposed during the most beautiful sunset on Palm Beach.

Of course I said yes.

For the next few years, we traveled to other places and it just wasn't the same. We kept comparing our other trips to Aruba, so we decided to go back. Immediately it was as if we were back on our first trip. Even though it was several years later, the lady at the towel hut on the beach remembered us!

Now, we visit every October, and we love the laid-back vibe. Unlike at home or on other vacations, you don't need a plan in Aruba. You can wake up in the morning and decide what you want to do that day. We like to rent wave runners, go tubing, shop at the Paseo Herencia and Renaissance Mall, go happy hour hopping and play casino games at the Radisson Casino.

Each year, we stock up on items you can only buy in Aruba, like hot sauce and Palmera rum, but there's one souvenir Angelo has to have an Aruba "One happy island" license plate. We just moved to a new place and he had a box dedicated to them!
