Our Story: 13 Years ⁄⁄ 20 Trips

Mark and I first visited Aruba on our honeymoon in 1999, and we knew in an instant that we wanted to make this island a big part of our lives. When we had our two wonderful daughters, Abby and Livi, our Aruba vacations easily turned into a family tradition.

Now we visit Aruba twice a year—one week as a couple to enjoy the island and each other, and one week with the girls for some family fun in the sun. The weather is perfect. The water is gorgeous. The people are incredibly warm and friendly. The girls have officially decided Aruba is our family's 'home away from home!'.

Some of our favorite places
Nestled on the southeast end of the island, Baby Beach is a calm, sandy-bottom lagoon. With a bounty of fish, it’s one of Aruba’s perfect snorkeling spots.
One of Aruba’s premiere resorts, the Marriott has something for every kind of escape. Beachfront palapas, the famous “lazy river” pool, fine dining and a 24-hour casino.
Located just south of the Spanish Lagoon, Mangel Halto is a top snorkeling reef for locals and tourists alike. The perfect place for a sunny, relaxing picnic.
Some of our favorite places to eat
A popular spot in the heart of the high-rise resort area, Casa Tua (Your Home) serves up a delicious thin - crust pizza from an old family recipe.
Nestled on the lush green fairways of Tierra del Sol, Ventanas del Mar is an experience for all senses. Fine dining with breathtaking views of the Caribbean.
Already an Aruba institution, Madame Janette is equally celebrated for its ambiance and cuisine. They serve up international fare with a distinct Aruban touch.
Some of our favorite activities
A lush, tropical garden where you can get up close to hundreds of butterfly species from around the world.
Aruba’s warm, calm waters make it a perfect place to play. AquaXotic can set you up with jet ski rentals, banana boat rides, parasailing, fishing charters and more.

MORNING STAR
Watch the sails unfold in the breeze and join Captain JJ, Kat and her daughter Jasmine on a family-friendly snorkeling adventure or a romantic sunset cruise.
From a mom’s point of view, Aruba is easy. There’s a grocery store where we can get our favorite peanut butter, and we don’t need a special plug to use a hair dryer. Those are things that are important to me.
