Our Story: 6 Years ⁄⁄ 3 Trips

A few years ago, a friend of ours who visits Aruba every year invited us for a trip. We absolutely fell in love with the island and everything there is to do. When Anthony and I got engaged, we knew Aruba was the place where we wanted to get married. Not only do we love the beautiful beaches, but it was so simple for our guests. They could take a direct flight, easily get around the island and never be bored with everything Aruba has to offer.

Our ceremony was set on a beautiful white-sand beach, and we danced the night away under the stars to an amazing local Latin band. And our family and friends had a blast. They snorkeled, rented jeeps and had an incredible sunset sail. Aruba was the picture-perfect backdrop for our perfect day. The happy island of Aruba was an amazing start to our “happily ever after.”

Some of our favorite places
Boca Prins in Arikok National Park
A breathtakingly beautiful secluded cove surrounded by rugged limestone cliffs and white sand dunes. Boca Prins can be reached by car, or you can even hike there.
Overlooking the rocky, adventurous Northern coast of Aruba sits the abandoned gold mill, Bushiribana. It processed ore during Aruba's gold rush in the 1800’s.
This simply quaint, simply wonderful chapel overlooking the sea was the island's first Roman Catholic Church. It was built in 1750 and reconstructed in 1953.
Some of our favorite places to eat
Head towards Aruba’s northernmost landmark, The California Lighthouse, and you’ll discover La Trattoria El Faro Blanco. Enjoy exquisite Italian dishes matched only by the spectacular views of the Aruba coastline.
Charlie’s Bar is (unofficially) an official Aruba institution. For over 70 years, visitors, sailors and locals have lined the walls with old photos and knick-knacks. It’s the perfect spot to drink in true Aruban hospitality.
Tierra del Sol is an oasis in paradise. Along with having a PGA championship golf course, their dining, wedding reception and spa facilities are some of the best on the island.
Some of our favorite activities
The Untouchables
This high-energy local Aruban band plays everything from Latin to pop to reggae. Always a fantastic show.
It’s a party bus…Aruba-style! Kukoo Kunuku is one-of-a-kind dinner and bar hopping adventure where the painted bus is almost as colorful as the passengers.
Palm Beach Casino
Recently renovated Palm Beach Casino is located at the popular Westin Resort. There are machines, table games, drinks and entertainment for locals and guests alike.
Some of our favorite places to stay
The Westin Resort
The Westin sits on the south end of Palm Beach, Aruba’s gorgeous sandy stretch of high-rise resorts and hotels. From fabulous dining to casino fun, the Westin offers something for everyone.
It is no surprise that the Manchebo is a popular location for weddings. This boutique hotel is right on beautiful Eagle Beach and features a wedding pavilion for guests.
This all-inclusive resort is in the center of the Palm Beach stretch. The Occidental has an international clientele, all seeking an all-inclusive escape to Aruba.
Being there with the ones I love, sharing the island and the experiences it offers, was the best wedding gift I could imagine.
