LMAO at the Fools at the NWS

First I apologize if anyone here works for the NWS or know someone who does, you have my sympathy. Forgive me:

The last major snow here in our part of Georgia was December 2001.

All week we've been getting hype about an upcoming storm. Today's forecast from the NWS went something like this:

2 pm forecast- rain (mom called, "how's the weather?)
3 pm forecast change- to wintry mix no accumulation (husband called, told him, "don't worry you will have work tomorrow")
3:45 pm forecast change- ice accumulation less than .1 in. possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of less than a 1/2 in. possible. (dh says, "never happen, the NWS is NEVER RIGHT ON THEIR FORECAST )
7:50 pm forecast CHANGE- WINTER STORM WARNING 1 - 3 in. of snow, localized 4 - 5 in. totals

We do not have snow plows. With 1 - 3 in. we are in deep, with 4 -5 in. we won't get out for literally days. Unless of course, we have a suddent thaw to 80 degrees, which although is not predicted, as evidenced by above, always possible.
