I am using an Olympus EVOLT E-500 8.0 megapixel. This is definitely not a "point and shoot" camera. After 15 months of using it, I am still practicing.
Right after my dh purchased the E-500, Olympus came out with a 10.0 megapixel E-510 which I am sure has even sharper photos.

Below is a similar photo take with my Dad's new Olympus FE-300 12.0 megapixels and at 3.7"W x 2.2"H x 0.87" D downright tiny. Imo, it took great shots if you are looking for an easily trasportable "point and shoot" camera. AND there is a huge price difference between the two cameras.

This is one of my favorite photos of the entire trip. It was taken late afternoon. It had rained off and on all morning and at noontime the sun finally did come out. You do not see many shots of this area of the island.
