We live about an hour and a half north of Atlanta and Delta has become our airline of necessity not by choice. You will read horror stories for every airline.

We have found Delta to be okay. Our flights to and from Aruba on Delta in December were okay. Going down, delayed due to equipment change at the last minute requiring mass changes in seat assignments and a delay on return due to air traffic control, obviously out of DL's control.

One suitcase was damaged. DL cheerfully provided a mailer to have it repaired. It was not repairable and they were unable to purchase an identical piece so they mailed us a check for the full replacement value.

Check your flight details weekly. Delta has a bad habit of changing seat assignments and flight times with no notice. The exception being about 2 weeks prior to departure, then they WILL email you the change.
