We don't stay at the Rui but we had a lot of families from our hometown there when we were there. I would say, especially if its your honeymoon, not to stay there. There is no quarantee that you won't get the non-renovated room. We had friends stay one week at the Rui and one week at the Marriott, Rui not the same.

The beach is windier than other parts of Palm Beach. The Westin (which is right next door) is on the point and it is even windier. If you have read lots of posts on this BB, most regulars will tell you not to do the all inclusive. If you like to do water sports, sit on the beach, etc. getting around at night to all of the great restaruants is a wonderful way to see Aruba. One of the reasons Aruba is such a great island is that it is safe to move around the island. AI are best left for other islands that are not as safe as Aruab like Jamaica.

The pool at the Rui is very sparse without much in the way of greenery. Perhaps, you might look into the Radission which is a very nice hotel with a breakfast only component. Good compromise or else go to a timeshare which allows you the ability to do your own thing for breakfast and lunch (and alcohol too).
