I spent my last week in February at the RIU. After 5 other glorious weeks at Occidental and Costa Linda, this was a HUGE disappointment. I felt like I was on a Carnival Cruise all week. (that's not a good thing) The food was adequate, the drinks ok, the staff unhelpful and not good communicators.

If I was going on my honeymoon, and I wanted an all-inclusive, I'd stay at the Occidental. If you can afford the Royal Suites, go for it. They are fabulous. If not the regular rooms are really really nice. Just redone two years ago. Smaller resort so much more relaxing. If you don't want the all inclusive you can rent a timeshare unit from an owner and stay in a suite with a kitchen. Eat where and when you want.

Eagle Beach is the best area on the island. I don't consider LaCabana a real Eagle Beach resort. I think the other person who answered you was referring to places like Costa Linda or Buccuti Beach (best place on the island for a honeymoon - in a Tiara Suite.

I have been going to Aruba twice a year for 10 to 12 weeks a year. If you need any help email me at macalh@aol.com.
