I own timeshare in Aruba and I have also stayed at the Hyatt. We have small children and the timeshares works out great for us. However, given that you are at a different place in life, and having done Marriott and Hyatt both myself, I think you and your husband could not go wrong with the Hyatt.
Unless you plan to eat in, the you may want to consider the timeshare. If your going to rest and eat out and money is not a real issue. I would go with Hyatt!!
The location at the Hyatt cant be beat. There is so much in walking distance to enjoy meals and do shopping. They also have a great casino. The beach there is great, the pool and entire resort is gorgeous.
