Internet connectivity on Delta

I have a HP Pavillion Notebook laptop and want to make sure that I can use the internet on the airplane. The website says that this:

Connectivity

Get more accomplished with your laptop by using Delta's battery-saving EmPower™ system. Outlets are available in BusinessElite and all classes of service on 777, 737-800, and 767-400 aircraft.
Adapters

An affordable, small, lightweight adapter makes it safe and easy to plug virtually any notebook computer into an in-seat power supply available on major airlines. It often includes an adapter for a standard car cigarette lighter and allows the user to conveniently recharge most notebook batteries during travel.
Purchasing an Adapter

When purchasing an adapter for your next Delta flight, check for compatibility with the EmPower system and your personal notebook brand. Adapters are available at many computer accessory retail stores, online, and for sale on international flights to Brazil, Chile, Europe, India, and Japan through Delta’s Duty Free program.

So, they say that outlets are available on those series of planes, which fall into the ones I will be on. Does this mean that I have to go purchase an adapter to plug into the outlet? If so, would this one be appropiate? The people at HP told me it is:

Will I be able to use my laptop in the hotel room or do I need a different kind of outlet that is acceptable with Aruba outlets?
