Well, well, well..........thoroughly enjoyed the description of your trip....to the point of jealousy !!! Not going until November and now wishing my days to quickly go away so I get to the island sooner.....
Sorry to hear about your experiences with the taxi drivers....that they try to pull that crap is awful, but at least you all knew better and maybe they will think twice about trying to pull a fast one on the next tourist....
I would have been miserable listening to a revival meeting while trying to eat my dinner...probably would have had to drink several martinis to ease the pain

Glad to know the ATV ride was nice, please post the name of the company you went to...we have rented from Melchors which is across from the Black Hog, but no guide to take us,,, we just followed the signs from the Natural Bridge to the Natural Pool. They did have bungees so we could attach our soft cooler and they also put a can of fix-a-flat under each quad seat, so we felt relatively safe......A friend of ours from the island and his wife (from Toledo) usually go with us, but this past year we had to go solo....everyone depended on my memory for directions, thank God that still works well...(one of the few things so it seems).
Anyway, can't wait to go, hopefully with a few good things to write about upon return.......
