Good morning eveyone,

Thank you so much for your warm welcome and kind words.

Andrea, you want to know what I think about the changes. First, let me tell you what has not changed. Aruba was, in 1980, a clean, safe, stable, reliable, well-run place. In spite of all the development and other changes, those characteristics still remain.

There has been lots of development, and therefore more hotel, dining, casino, watersport and activity choices. Do I miss anything from the old days (1980)? Yes. Where have the Indonesian restaurants gone? No more Bali, no more Dwarvang Java (Java Cottage). You can't get rijstafel to save your life anymore! And, Scaramouche? So many memories, (I won't share them here. We're supposed to keep it clean here, right?), but like all good things, it came to an end.

Andrea and Cindy, I'll try to write my posts as if the 3 of us are sitting at a beach bar around 4 o'clock, talking about our favourite places in Aruba. If our spouses or anybody else wants to join in, they can pull up a chair, order a drink and chime in anytime.

Take care and have a super day,

Bye for now,

Glenn
