Tourists often say, "I want the LOCAL food" when they really don't mean it. The local food is usually very basically seasoned, fried, then covered with creole sauce. Many places do this well. If you want seafood as you know it in big city restaurants, you'd do better at Aqua (which I love). You can also "shoot up the center" and try Hadacurari.
