Hi Bryan,
THANK YOU so much for your offer to help, I would like to take you up on your offer if it isn’t too much of a burden.
We're essentially looking for a confirmation from Mr. Christiaans or a designee that our paperwork was received and that it satisfies Aruba's criteria for a marriage license (we followed the directions exactly).
Some more background info....while we have not been able to speak directly to Mr. Christiaans, my Fiancé was able to speak to a person named Maikito in his ofice a few weeks back and he indicated that there were no conflicting civil ceremonies during the day/time we were requesting. He said to request the day and approximate time on our cover letter which was to be sent with our paperwork, all of which we did. The letter of intent was included in our package of info that was faxed and emailed, but we haven't received official confirmation on the date. Also, we do plan on bringing the original documents with us.
I am sympathetic to the fact that Mr. Christiaans has lost a loved one (his office made us aware of that approximately 2 weeks ago). We have been told that he has returned to work over a week ago and when we have been able to get through to the receptionist since then, we've only been able to leave a message as Mr. Christiaans is either busy or out of the office. We have not received a response to our several phone calls or emails. We're leaving for Aruba on Saturday AM and it would really put us at ease to know that are affairs are in order.
I’ve emailed my pertinent info to you at info@bryanmorrisphotography.com for privacy purposes, I hope that is OK.
Thank you once again for your offer to help and thanks to all who have replied to this post, all info and advice are certainly appreciated.
