if the rays go on to win the pennant, then i would guess that they would at least double their fan base!

every time i have gone to a red sox/devil ray game in st pete, there are mostly red sox fans in attendance.

and the rays have been trying now for a while to get a new ballpark. that tropicana field is a dismal disgrace and quite honestly imo, fenway park was pretty crutty up til the current ownership took over a few yrs back.

the rays have been working with the city of st pete re: their new ballpark. if they do win the pennant and maybe the series, that new ball park could come actually be built.

here's hoping that the bosox pull it out!
