Taxi fares are regulated by the government. Starting year before last many taxi drivers have taken it upon themselves to charge whichever fare they wish, thus ripping off the tourists. Obviously they know that chances are very slim they would ever be caught.

Bully is a hard working, honest, knowledgeable Aruban family man. He will take you anywhere on the island his taxi is capable of getting to as long as he is available.

The first year we used him after picking us up at the airport and taking us to the Radisson he handed us a couple of his business cards with his phone number.

When he drops us off at the resort we usually tell him what time our dinner reservation is for and he tells us what time he will be at the lobby to pick us up. He is always waiting for us when we arrive at the lobby.

Upon dropping us off at the restaurant we have the business card to hand to the server at the end of our meal. Bully is a family man and we do tend to eat dinner later, so there have been times when Bully has sent a relative to pick us up at the end of our meal. His relatives are every bit as nice as he.
