On our return flight, the AA scale read 50.6 lbs for our biggest piece and I thought for sure we were gonna get the $50 charge, but he said nothing....I don't know if we got lucky or we were in the "grace zone" so to speak. But to weigh them here at home, I make my wife stand on our home scale with and without the luggage, then do the math
