I have the Balanzza scale. It's accurate to within 1 lb of airline scales.

One year in Dom Republic, I got stuck with an overweight.
Next year SAME airport, same airline - again. This time I said I was not overweight (I wasnt) and I refused to pay.

About a year ago coming back from Cancun. Overweight. when I left home suitcase was under...the same (or less) into that suitcase on the way home...I said I knew that it was NOT overweight and they made a mistake. All of a sudden the American Airlines (or Jet Blue) attendant realized (or I think I Actually NOTICED) that the scale had not been zeroed out from the last customer. Lo and behold.....no overweight.
