while i completely agree with both of you on the diversity argument, it does get a little overwhelming to see the americanization of the island. besdies, the food served in the chains are the same foods that are served elsewhere on the island. there's no difference. imo it's more refereshing to have more locally produced fare to sample rather than the cookie cutter menu we can taste here anyway.
