Sharon, I will be gone on the 20th so we won't meet. Firstly, I am confused at what you bought...I thought you could only buy a 2 bdrm at the Surf Club or did you actually only buy a week vacation?

The studio, which is what I think you are referring has a small fridge, micorwave, toaster and coffee maker. Enough for a few things. The room has a queen bed plus a sofa and small table and chairs and a balcony. Very nice size. Upgrading to a one bdrm if $$ allows would give you a lot more room. For us, we eat breakfast and lunch every day in our room (or beachside) and we like the larger kitchen which is full size. We don't want to be running to Ling's all the time.

The grocery store is open until 1pm on Sunday. If you are arriving on Sunday afternoon, my recommendation is get up early, get your chairs and then hit the grocery store first thing! The food is cheaper and you have lots of variety, just like home. The Surf Club store has basics and are more expensive.

Arriving in Aruba it will cost you approx. $20 to take a cab to the Surf Club. The taxi to the grocery store is about $8.
