We've stayed at the Marriott the last 2 times we have been there. Last year we were on the side of the construction ( I think they were doing something to the roof below our rooms) and we could hear it. However it was down a little ways, not directly below us. AND it was on the parking lot side of the hotel. So,unless they're doing something on the "ocean side" of the hotel that I don't know about, I think your best bet would be to request a room with a pool view. Hope this helps. Have a great time!
