we don't have much heavy stuff......1
pr paul fins and 1 pair zoomers for me are the heavy items.
no towels
we put our clothing is bags as wel with a sheet or 2 of fabric softener to keep it a decent smell.
everything in my bin has always remained dry and smell free.
