On the main road through Paradera you'll find Cafe Capri, a Venezuelan bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I gave this a try and it was quite good.
If you like to eat outside, you can step up to the counter, place your order and then take a table. They serve all types of platters from fried chicken to grilled plank steaks and lots of stuff in between. The drinks are also ice-cold, which is the way I like my Coca-Cola. Inside, is a large bar and tables as well.
I went for lunch, sat inside and ordered the large mixed grill, which I shared with my friend. It was GRANDISIMO. There was chicken, steak, pork, and sausage on top of french fries with lettuce and tomatoes around the edge of the platter. This was plenty of food for two people. It cost 35 florins ($20). The place is more or less on the way to the Casibari rock formations. Just another of the local joints I find a good value and interesting experience. Spanish skills are very helpful but not absolutely necessary when ordering here.
