Hi Ray,
There is lots to do, and the people are friendly, as long as you like to talk and be friendly you will meet people. Casinos, bar/clubs, and San Nicholas is known for meeting people especially locals.
Its really up to you how much activity and how much going out you do, either way you will enjoy the island.
