prior to TESSA there were 2 other tigers in that enclosure.
do any of you remember them?
the poor creatures were held in that space just like tessa.
they were part of the show at the Sonesta , now the Renaissance.
well, the owner/performer/trainer was apparently up to no good and he and his big cats went bye bye.

then tessa came and stayed for about 3 or 4 yrs
she went to heaven in the fall of 2004.
she too had a controversial owner/trainer who left the island under "interesting" circumstances.
i have a friend that ddid a "playdate" with tessa in the enclosure.
it was 15 - 30 minutes of interaction....patting, roughhousing and what my friend perceived as much fun.
