Congratulations to the long suffering baseball fans of NY.
I read today that the Yankees had spent more money on salaries ($1,600,000,000.00) since their last championship then any team in the history of professional sports....including the Red Sox (1918-2004) and Cubs (1908-present). It's true! I guess the Mets (1986-present) must be second.
So....to true fans who follow their team in good times and bad....congratulations on the end of your drought!
