i would not count on medicare for anythng related to emergency air evacuation.

my comments were based on using trip insurance and using the credit card as a means to get off the island and then seek reimbursement from the trip insurance.

I would double check on this if you have a pre-existing condition. When I had
to medivac my mom off the island, she had medicare and it was not covered.
You might check w/ your insurance company and might have to purchase some additional "trip" coverage for this. It's very expensive
