We always bring our favorite wine and a few other hard stuff bottles. Beer? To much lugging and trouble to get a couple of cases into the plane, out of the plane, back to the resort and have to wait anyway for it to get cold.

About 50 bucks difference saves a lot of aggravation transporting beer.
We stayed next to a couple that did the beer thing years ago and bragged about all they saved,(?) then blew over $200 their first night in a Casino.

So, yes you can bring your own booze to the island, what you bring is your decision.
