We rented a Suzuki 4x4 jeep for 7 days and put 450 miles on it. The island is only 20 miles long. It was dirty and hot and a lil scary in places and we loved every mile of it. We went from the light house to the ruins twice, once at sunrise. Nothing like it in the world. Now when it came time to go out in the evening we did need to wipe the jeep out becuase it does get dirty but we didnt care. I guess it would depend on the person. We took a cooler and swimsuits and went where ever we wanted saw beautiful sunrises. and things you wont see from a car. Go out from the lighthouse make sure you are persistant and find the road there are wonders to see. you can go the intire coast if you are courageous. I dont think a car can make the trip.
