Re: WYNDHAM ISSUES??
Well I can tell you that our stay at the Wyndham was totally awful. We stayed there just this past week. We stayed from 10-16 to 10-23. We booked and paid for our reservations well in advance. Our worst fear was realized when we arrived on the 16th. There was no room for at ourselves and at least 8 other couples. We were told that this happens and we were turned away and moved to a property two doors away. The Wyndham gave us $100 food credit to compensate. This hotel is somewhat clean. The food served here is good but you cannot get anyone to serve it to you. The service is painfully slow and unorganized. The rooms are old and need updating. The hotel is 30 years old. Door locks on sliding doors rarely work. The swimming pool is old and falling apart. The hotel charges a non-negotiable 15% surcharge for food service and then expects you to tip servers on top of that. All servers share tips and that prohobits them from giving you good service. I do not recommend this hotel at all no matter what the price is. I would recommend the Hyatt, Marriott, Allegro or the Raddison. They are much nicer than the Wyndham. The Raddison although older is well maintained and has a prime spot on the beach. The steakhouse in the Raddison is excellent. Based on our most recent experience, there are many places better to stay than the Wyndham.
