The above posts give good information and opinions.
If you consider that initially the three islands were known as the ABC's and were interlinked financially, politically and have historic backgrounds that tie them to each other - then it is never a bad idea to visit the three or at least one of the others. It tends to round off the total experience.
For some reason, even if they are very near to each other, there is a stigma that surrounds travelling to the other islands. I think it has to do with the oceans that seperate them and the airtravel needed. I think of it this way - When our family last went to vacation in the USA, we travelled from Florida (visit to the mouse farm in Orlando) and then on to the Grand Canyon. This was certainly much further and more expensive to to. Difference? - no ocean to cross in an airplane ERGO no stigma.
