We really enjoyed Paradera. It's true you have to add the price of a car rental to your vacation expense but we always get a car anyway. The owners, Debbie and Hank, are wonderful. We did spend a good deal of time at the pool. Even though the apartments were sold out, the pool was never crowded.
If we go again I want to try the one bedroom. The studio is large and comfortable but it is nice to be able to get up in the middle of the night to read or something without disturbing a sleeping spouse.
And as to expense:

Two People, 10 days ( 9 nights) during high season. These amounts include all taxes and tips except for casual tips for services - which was about 100 USD and is included in the total.
