We just booked late last week for our June trip. Don't worry though, you have plenty of time. Yes, you can request. From what I understand the Tamarijn is very good about trying to accommodate all room requests.

See my other post with the map and the rocks. The rocks on the map are all of the round suigglely things between the between the buildings and ocean at the end of building 15 on down to the Bunker bar. Then on down again from the edge of building 14 all the way to the edge of building 12. Sometimes mother nature gives back sand and other times takes it away, so all a crap shoot really.
