Ivan passed to the North of Aruba in '04 and the initial effects to the island was heavy surf in the Baby Beach area.

A day or so after Ivan had passed the island got socked with a a band of weather associated with the hurricane. There were reports of tornados and severve flooding.

At one point they cut the road along Eagle beach to help drain water off of the island.
