If you're looking for less crowded beaches and no kids, you will love Bucuti.
They are on one of the best (and biggest) beaches in Aruba, in my opinion. Bucuti is an adult oriented resort (they discourage kids) so it is quieter. By the way, my avatar is a picture taken at Bucuti Beach.
We stayed in the Bucuti wing (not the Tara Suites), which has just recently been totally renovated. It's beautiful, so if money is an issue, you could still opt for the Bucuti wing over the Tara suites.
Downside is there is not much nightlife nearby (except for Alhambra casino which is adjacent to Bucuti). So as janlel said, you could take cabs or rent a car to go downtown or to the highrise area. We rented a car for the week and loved having the flexibility to go wherever and whenever we wanted.
