A Tropical Wave passed the island late Sunday afternoon and there were several waterspouts reported around the island, including a large one off the Souhern part of Eagle Beach.

It's unlikely that that they are connected to Dean in anyway, but after Ivan passed the island back in 2004 there were several spouts around the island a day or two later.
