But do keep checking - especially right before your flight - to see if they changed your departure time.
I just emailed AA yesterday. Last year, our nonstop flight time changed 3 times from the time we booked until the time we left - I never received a notice via email, but found out from friends who had seen the change online.

When AA emailed me back yesterday, they said they only let people know of a time change 2-3 weeks prior to departure. They're full of it - they've never advised me in the past. When I booked our nonstop flight to Aruba for March of 08, we were leaving at 9:00 a.m. Yesterday after being on the AA site, I noticed it's been pushed up to 10:10 a.m. I guarantee that by the time March rolls around, we'll be leaving at 7:00 a.m.
