Aruba Hi-Winds -- are there any restrictions to normal windsurfing?

I am going to be in Aruba on my honeymoon June 24-July 8/2001 and I windsurf. I just noticed that the Aruba Hi-winds competition is taking place June 28- July 4/2001. We are staying at the Holiday Inn just down the beach from Fisherman's Huts. I am wondering if the competition will make the beach really crowded and if the windsurfing will have a lot of traffic. I was also wondering if the competition took over the whole beach and if so, is it still possible to just go out and windsurf or do the race officials close up the area? Can anyone tell me how congested the sailing gets? I am a little bit worried that having a crowded beach with a lot of people trying to drag race each other might get a little dangerous. But I am most worried about travelling all the way to Aruba to windsurf Fisherman's Huts and have the area be closed because of the competition.
Any info that anyone might have would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike.
