I think your chances are seeing a starfish are pretty good! We see them there all of the time.

Thank you for the turtle pictures! Maybe this year I will see one. It's not for lack of trying! I am always on the lookout, and I snorkel almost every day when in Aruba. I will definitely go to Catalina Cove in the early am.

Catalina Cove Turtles

I saw 2 turtles in 10 minutes during one of my snorkles there... about 11:00 AM... one person I talked to said that there were 3 that hung around this area
One of these was over 2 ft long other over 18" (Shell length)

Nice pics! One of those is the same turtle we always saw. I can tell by his torn right rear flipper. He is very friendly! Not afraid of people at all.

They are beautiful, graceful creatures and a joy to watch.

seeing the turtles while snorkeling is a crap shoot.
we have snorkeled at catalina cove, baby beach and spanish lagoon area probably 30 times over the years and saw a sea turtle just twice.

Oh! My girlfriend and I would really like to see a turtle while snorkeling. We haven't had that privilige on our first two trips, I sure hope we see a glimpse coming August. If not, perhaps the year after Last year we were at the Bugaloo when there were some eggs about to hatch. The girl behind the bar said that it might take a while. We went to the casino, and when we came back they already hatched. Grrrr! She was sweet enough to videotape that, but it's just not the same as seeing it live... Thanks for the great tip on the location!
