i would contact the wacky wahoo or the driftwood restaurant owners.
they go out fishing every day and quite possibly they would know.

I think its fish that you have to "bone" before eatting, unlike shrimp, scallops that have no bones.....I had to laugh about that , my husband said," Now Cindy, think about this, does the fish have to be de-boned", DAH...he was right, I guess..maybe someone else out there knows better than this guess...I think the original post was from someone not in the US...

YES folks fish from shore all of the time usually in the area of Eagle Beach in the area between costa linda and lacabana.
we have seen many folks usually at sunrise and sunset fishing from the beaches.
another good spot i suspect is up towards arashi beach which is up beyond the marriott and the windsurfing area.

FWIW, they are an actual species of fish,
http://www.fishbase.org/Summary/SpeciesSummary.php?id=228

In all of my years of travel to Aruba I have never heard of anyone specifically fishing for bonefish. They are more of a gamefish than eating fish because, yes, it is SO full of bones. Maybe they are not prevalent in Aruba?

Charles would know, Charles are you out there?
