Hi, Michelle, no I have not done this, but I know this is your first trip and you are in the planning mode, I recommend renting a car for a day, you can see the whole island California Lighthouse,Alto Vista Chapel,Gold Mines Ruins,Natural Bridge,Baby Beach to snorkel,Charlie's Bar in San Nicholas est,1941 for a cold one,Zeerovers local fisherman's bar (in the flying fishbone area) for another, and be back at the resort in time to shower for dinner. PS when on the north side, stay out of the sand, you will get stuck! Baby Beach stay inside the breakwater, snorkel where the water changes color.
