Fishing report

Did and fishing trip with my brother-in-law and 8 year old son.I love to fish, and so does my son.Everything was great for the first half hour, than the boy said "when are we going to start fishing?" I told him this is trolling and we WERE fishing and he said "well this stinks". He's used to holding the pole and jigging for flounder. Well about 10 minutes later he said I don't feel too good and it was all over from there.
He puked (or at least tried too) for the next 2 hours.Had to cut the trip short and trolled back to the dock.

We managed to hook one small blackfin tuna.
As soon as we hit the dock it was like he was never sick.I have never been sea sick and felt Soooooo bad for the little guy.

I advised him it would be rough, and different than what he is used too but he insisted on going(because I know nothing and of course he know's it all)

I guess it was a lesson in life for him and not soon forgotten.

It was rougher than normal, so said the captian and mate, but it still beats working.

Re: Fishing report

At least you got to go fishing. I made the mistake of reserving on the "Olimpic Tours", took my dramamine prior to the departure, boarded the boat and the trip was cancelled. The owner never notified me nor the crew. I was so mad because it was my last day on the island. I should have gone on the "Rainbow Runner" they departed on time at 8:00am.

Re: Fishing report

if your planning a trip to aruba and want to go fishing i highly recomand you call peter meyers. he was recomended to me on line and i was told i wouldn't be dissapointed and i sure wasn't. best fisherman on the island and a great guy. we caught 5 whahoos and a baracuta and we ate what we caught a local resteraunt that night. he set it all up for us and it was the special of the night on the menu. me and my buddy had very big heads at that point. one fish was 36 pounds. nice fish. his cell phone # is 9931550 or 9655478 and the best time to catch him is aroun 6 at night
