    Golf

We have very few postings about golfing on Aruba.

Aruba boasts 2 beautiful courses....Tierra De Sol and Divi Links.

What are your experiences at either?

Do golfers bring their own clubs or rent?

I'm not an avid golfer, but played quite a bit in my younger days. I just don't think I would enjoy playing a round on Aruba. The wind is ferocious, and the sun and heat would be an issue for me. I will say that both courses appear to be maintained very well and are quite beautiful.

My wife and I golf at Divi Links every January (last 7 yrs at least 5 times over 15 days). We bring 1 set of clubs with extra clubs "stuffed" in. Very easy with 1 Bag and rental car. We play 9 holes each time at approx. 9:30AM so we are back on the Divi Aruba beach by 11:30AM. Yes it can be windy, but as with Aruba-this helps with the heat.

I'll be golfing Tierra Del Sol while I'm down there this trip. I'm really looking forward to it. Thankfully they have a spa at the course so my wife will be checking that out while I'm on the course. Since I'm only golfing the 1 day I'll be renting. The cost to get my club on the plane and the extra hassle to lug them around isn't worth it for 1 round.

Was able to get in 2 rounds at Tierra del Sol while we were there in February. Golf course played tough (with the wind) and was in good shape. Was able to meet some new people and create some new connections. Pricing - for the price, you would be on a far superior course in the US or Canada, but hey, golfing along the coast in Aruba, does not get much better than that. Due to airline status, up to three checked bags are free, so my clubs travel with me. Will be going back to Aruba in 2019, and my clubs shall be joining me once again.
