    Group Sailing Excursion

    Hi everyone --

My fiance and I are going to be getting married in Aruba in October. We are looking to arrange some sort of sailing excursion on Friday afternoon - maybe 3:30-6:30, coming in just after sunset. We're expecting 20-30 people and would prefer a private charter if possible. There could be a wide range of ages from 3 years old to 80.

So far I've been thinking one of the 'pirate cruises' might be the most fun for the kids (my fiance has two boys, 9 & 13 years old). You can rent out the Mi Dushi boat for sailing / snorkeling what seems to be a fair price (Jolly Pirates is around 50% more). The only thing I've been unsure of is I've read the snorkeling isn't great.

Any other ideas for a cost effective boating excursion? I am interested in something that will provide an open bar and snacks. Would also love great music and a party atmosphere that isn't too wild. I love catamarans but want something a little more interesting than just a 'sunset cruise' that might bore the kids.

    Thanks,

    Christene

Christene, I realize your post was from 2009 but I am interested to know what you ended up doing. My husband and I are planning to renew our wedding vows in late August. We will have a party of 30 people that includes adults and young children (the youngest range from 6 months to 13 years old). Did you go on the pirate cruise or find something different.

definitely 6 mos is too young for JP...and imo any age under age 6 is too young.
    there may be exceptions though

it may be too late at this point to book the jp for a private sail. it definitely is worth looking into though!!!

Black Pearl does private tours, but 30 people may be too many for them. We have been with them when younger children were aboard.
