Is there any where on the island to where you can dive or snorkle for lobster from shore?

I have done this many times in florida, snorkling and diving from shore.

Thanks for any help.

hmmm...never heard this asked before. Sorry but don't know the answer, but waiting to hear if anyone has the answer. Carribean lobsters really aren't the same as Maine lobsters in taste. Carribean taste like shrimp. Good luck though..

we have scuba and snorkeled often in aruba over the years.
just asked my husband if he remembered ever seeing lobster......we both think the answer is no...."we don't recall seeing lobster", but i am sure there are some that have.

nonetheless, you are going to aruba! ENJOY.

I never had any luck off shore, but if you go to the docks at the Surf Club the fisherman will take you out for lobster, and Moomba will cook them for you when you come back. We did a Fishing trip and ended up Snorkeling and caught a dozen. What a great day. I am unsure if it legal or not?

Go to Zee Rovers (you can google, zee rovers aruba) it is a local fisherman's bar in the Flying Fishbone area, and talk to the locals!

Thank you for the posts. We are staying at the Marriott Surf Club, someone there said we may be able to find some lobsters up at arashi beach roughly 10 min away. Can anyone verify this.

Some of the dive operators have told me that it isn't legal, but I have never done any independent research.
