Malmok and Boca Catlina snorkeling - morning vs afternoon

I was wondering if anyone knew if the snorkeling was better in the morning or afternoon at these sites - Malmok and Boca Catlina? Is one time frame known for better snorkeling in terms of the number/variety of fish you will see?
Not sure when, but we will be back

we have found that snorkeling there (both) in the morning before 11 AM it is much quieter without the tour snorkeling boats.
    many less people.

i have no idea if there are different fish during different times of days.

we have always snorkeled there in the mornings and catalina cove is one of our favorite spots.

Go in the morning when the water is calmer.

Morning is the best around 9 a.m. before it gets crowded and other boats come in. We went a few weeks ago at 9 a.m. it was wonderful until about noon time then got crowded.
