National Criminal Investigation Department must research building fraud Acqua ’

The activities on the terrain of Acqua Condominiums next to the Marriott Hotel are continuing despite all negative press reports.ORANJESTAD — second Chamber member Hero Brinkman wants to know if State Secretary Ank Bijleveld-Schouten (Kingdom Relations) is prepared to request the National Criminal Investigation Department to perform an ‘in-depth research’ for fraud and corruption in the Acqua-project. He expects that Premier Nelson Oduber (MEP) is possibly involved with the alleged fraud.
Yesterday, Brinkman asked questions in the Dutch Chamber with regard to the report ‘Terugblik (Retrospective) the illegal practices of the Acqua-project on Aruba’ on the blog of Candelario Candela. Accusations are being expressed at the address of various politicians and ‘threatening bankruptcy’ and ‘financial debacles’ are mentioned.
Amongst others, he would like clarification on the building development, the financing and involvement of companies during the various building phases. Moreover, he wants to know if the building licenses of the Acqua-project Condominium Aruba have been extended in a proper manner and if bribes have been paid or not.
Finally the PVV-politician would like to know if the Public Prosecutor of Aruba has researched the accusations and the possible outcome thereof.
Yesterday this newspaper reported that the Security Forces of Aruba gave a positive advice on the Venezuelan investment group Cayco, owner of the project Acqua Condominium two years ago. Recently the investment group received a negative advice from the Antillean Security Forces with regard to submitting a tender for a large tourist project.
The message on Candela’s blog indirectly also mentions Morgan’s Island Aqua Park. This project was on hold for many years and has not been completed, even though it is now open. The message mentions unpaved parking places and high prices in comparison with similar attractions. He labels both projects (Aqua and Acqua) as futureless.
Arulex NV is registered with the Chamber of Commerce as owner of Morgan’s Island. This same company is also owner of Acqua Construction. Lawyer Hendrik Croes is registered with the Chamber of Commerce as director or Arulex.

Is it any wonder?
Honestly... as mentioned in the previous post, a waterpark on an island paradise surrounded by water.... who would have thought that wouldn't succeed?

If only I had the money to waste that so many others seem to have...

Anyone wish to open a tanning salon on the island?
It makes just as much sense...

I think we're aware of that, we know it's the sales office.
It even says so in the picture...

Most of us have seen the water park as we're racing by on the way to the beach.

Hmmmm. Maybe that's one of the reasons nothing happens there.
Because there's so much free water to play in....
at the beach.

I always chuckle at their "death zone" flag. Wonder if it's a warning or
a joke!! LOL!

Has anyone been to the water park lately? Is it worth going? We're coming with 3 kids next week.
