Our Lady of Lourdes

Where exactly is the shrine located? My Mom has a very special place in her heart for Our Lady of Lourdes & I would love to surprise her with a picture or something from here.

We plan on doing the Discover Aruba 5 hours tour through DePalm & I was wondering if this was included in that tour of the island? I know Alto Vista Chapel is, but I wasn't sure if they were close to each other.

If not, how far from the Tam is the shrine? And would the typical cab fare be, if not in walking distance.

Thanks!

I just checked and the Discover Aruba tour is supposed to include a stop at Lourdes Grotto.

Usually, the only way to get there is going to be taxi, private tour or rental car. It is easy to get to, but no where near being close to the Tamarijn. For the benefit of others...wanting to see the grotto, but not take the De Palm tour...

At about $33 each way, a compact car rental for $40 would be less than a taxi and a worthwhile experience. There is a Hertz counter right at the Tamarijn. If would reserve in advance though because the cars do go quickly and we have not always been able to plan what we want to do on a certain day because they were out of cars.
